CEREC – Crown in an Hour
Let’s face it – dental procedures can be an inconvenient addition to your week. The time spent in your dentist’s chair is often unscheduled, as unfortunately, dental problems don’t often cooperate with busy days or flat-out weeks.
That is why Coastal Dental makes use of CEREC, an acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. This method allows you to get fitted far more quickly with your new crown, inlay, onlay, or veneer, often in as little as one hour’s time, through a healthy dose of modern technology and unique computer programs.
CEREC uses digital scans to create a detailed impression of the tooth in question, before a 3D printer creates your synthetic tooth, right there in the office, from a solid ceramic block. This material is tough, resistant to plaque, and biocompatible – ensuring that it will go the distance for you.
CEREC’s remarkable precision ensures that you get the right fit, the first time. It means that our patients require less tooth grinding to fit their new crown, preserving the natural state of the tooth, and ensuring that your visit is shorter, and less invasive. It also means our patients require only one visit, and don’t require a temporary patch to be placed over their stricken tooth while their prosthetic is created.
In these busy times, Coastal Dental and CEREC can make sure your schedule doesn’t suffer due to a dental procedure. Book your appointment today!
