The Child Dental Benefit Schedule is a Government initiative to provide Financial support for basic dental services for children aged 2–17. Currently, benefits are capped at $1,000 per child over 2 consecutive calendar years.

Benefits will cover a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions.

HICAPS enables fast and simple claiming for you with your private health fund.

The Dental Choice Network is a group of dental service providers who have committed to reducing or removing the gap for selected preventative dental services that you would usually pay between the dentist’s charges and the CBHS benefit. By choosing to use a dentist in the network you will have no out-of-pocket expenses for these selected services. CBHS members with Prestige (Gold), LiveLife (Gold), Step-up (Bronze Plus), KickStart (Basic Plus), Top Extras and Overseas Visitors Cover are completely covered for selected preventative dental services, including check-ups, scales, cleans and fluoride treatments at any CBHS Dental Choice Network Provider.

We proud to be a Bupa Members First Practice, which means we are able to offer Bupa members reduced out of pocket costs on most dental treatments if they have Bupa private health coverage and hold the appropriate level of coverage.

If you currently have Bupa hospital and extras coverage, then you will also receive between 60%-100% back on all general dental procedures. As well as this, we can now offer ‘Gap Free Dental’ for your kids. Meaning you will not have any out of pocket expenses for your children’s general dental treatment including, check-ups, teeth cleaning, fillings, x-rays and more until they turn 25!

Before redeeming children’s gap-free dental please ensure you have selected extras cover for child dependants when combined with hospital cover.

Veterans: Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) Gold Card holders receive bulk billed treatment at Coastal Dental.

We can provide dental treatment for White Card holders only where it relates to DVA-accepted disabilities. If you don’t know your status, please contact DVA directly.
