Tracy Lin is an Oral Health Therapist at Coastal Dental, and a friendly, familiar face you’ll quickly feel at ease with. Growing up in a family where many members worked in dentistry, Tracy was naturally drawn to the field from a young age. What began as curiosity soon turned into a genuine passion for helping people feel confident in their smiles and their overall oral health.

Tracy completed her Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy at the University of Newcastle, graduating with distinction and earning a place on the College Commendation List. She holds a dual qualification as both a dental hygienist and therapist, and as a new graduate, she brings fresh energy, up-to-date knowledge, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Since joining Coastal Dental, Tracy has developed a particular interest in orthodontics, alongside her passion for periodontal care and supporting anxious patients. She enjoys the process of learning and growing her clinical skills while helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles along the way.

Her approach to care is calm, collaborative, and genuinely patient-centred. Tracy takes the time to listen, explain, and involve patients in their treatment decisions, working together to create realistic and achievable oral health goals. She places a strong emphasis on clear communication and creating a relaxed, welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and understood at every step.

Tracy has a natural ability to put nervous patients at ease. She understands that visiting the dentist isn’t everyone’s favourite experience, and she takes pride in creating a supportive, non-judgmental space. With her gentle manner, clear explanations, and a good chat to help break the ice, she helps patients feel more relaxed and confident in their care.

Outside of dentistry, Tracy enjoys getting lost in a good crime thriller on her Kindle, exploring new food spots, and making the most of Sydney’s outdoors with coastal walks, hikes, and the occasional Bay Run. Patients often describe her as energetic, gentle, and easy to talk to. Someone who brings both professionalism and personality to every appointment.
